By installing the Keenshield extension or using keenshield.app, you agree to these terms. We've kept them short, and we don't hide anything that renews.

What Keenshield is — and isn't

Keenshield gives an automated, plain-English opinion about how risky a page or document looks. It is not legal, financial or professional advice, and it can be wrong: it may miss a real problem or flag something harmless. The decision is always yours. For anything important, read the original document and, where it matters, ask a qualified professional.

Scores

Scores are produced automatically from the page's content and address. They are opinions, not statements of fact about any business. Businesses cannot pay to change a score. If you believe a score is wrong, email privacy@keenshield.app.

Fair use

Don't use Keenshield to overload its servers, get around its limits, resell its scores, or scan content you don't have the right to share. We may limit or suspend access that does.

Free and paid plans

The risk number is free, and the scanner on our website includes 3 free scans. Pro, for individuals and businesses, is a subscription at $4.99 a month or $39.99 a year that renews automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel. A single scan is a one-time $1.99 purchase that covers one full scan of up to 60,000 characters. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your purchase is linked to your Keenshield account by the email you pay with, so use the same email you sign in with. To cancel or ask for a refund, email privacy@keenshield.app from that address. When a subscription ends or a payment is refunded, the access it paid for ends too.

No warranty

Keenshield is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for decisions you make based on a score, or for losses from anything Keenshield did or didn't flag.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we do, we'll change the date at the top, and significant changes will be announced on this site before they apply.
